Ali Nasir Rizvi, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, has urged officials to give the best possible facilities to visitors visiting Murree over the Eid holidays.

Islamabad Police has already completed a detailed traffic management strategy in accordance with his directives.

Over 500 traffic police officers will be assigned to ensure that cars move smoothly, while 3,500 Islamabad police officers will continue to patrol and prevent crime.

To increase security, 18 police pickets have been stationed at various access and departure points across the city. IGP Rizvi told civilians that every effort is being made to offer a secure and peaceful atmosphere in which they may enjoy Eid without worry. He emphasized that the Islamabad Police is dedicated to taking every feasible precaution for public safety.

Two parks in Islamabad have been classified as family parks, with bicycle patrols to boost security. Additionally, motorcycle and automobile patrols will be undertaken across the city. Citizens will see heightened police presence as part of the Eid security strategy.

Police personnel use body-worn cameras, ANPR technology, and surveillance tractors to boost monitoring. A database is being created to track offenders who have committed crimes in the last three years, and a special “Knock the Door” campaign has been established to keep an eye on them.

IGP Rizvi stated that police officers are sacrificing time with their families to ensure people’s safety during Eid.

He urged individuals to work with law enforcement officials to ensure a safe and pleasant holiday.
