RAWALPINDI (A.News) – Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the chairman of the Awam Pakistan Party, accused politicians of disregarding all ideals in their desire of power.

Abbasi, speaking at a meeting in the twin cities, stressed that constitutional transgressions and pressure cannot maintain administration. He said that Pakistan’s parliament no longer represents the people, and that two-thirds of its members were elected through financial methods rather than democratic mandate.

“It is unfortunate that such individuals are making decisions for the people,” the politician said. “When elections are rigged, political instability is inevitable.”

Abbasi emphasized the importance of structural transformation, claiming that when politics concentrates upon imprisoning opponents, the country suffers in the long run. He urged those in authority to recognize ordinary folks’ problems and advocated for collaborative action to improve national conditions.

Speaking during the opening of a new party office, Abbasi stated that this was only the start of a larger effort.

“Our party is committed to transforming the system,” he added, noting that the public has lost trust in the three big political parties and is looking for a credible alternative.
