LAHORE – Babar Azam resigned down as captain of the Pakistan squad in all forms on Wednesday, only days after the national team was eliminated from the World Cup 2023.
“I vividly remember the moment when I received the call from PCB to lead Pakistan in 2019,” the right-hand batsman said on social networking site X. I’ve had many highs and lows on and off the field over the last four years, but my goal has always been to keep Pakistan’s dignity and respect in the cricket world.”
