The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s indictment was again postponed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday.
The decision was issued by the ECP’s four-member bench, led by Sindh Member Nisar Durrani, after the PTI lawyer appealed for the case to be adjourned till September owing to court holidays. The lawyer claimed that he could only obtain the record of one case.
“Do you want to get a new court date for the case?” Mr Durrani inquired. The PTI counsel then stated that the law had to be followed in the contempt case.
