According to the Punjab Home Department, mobile phone services will be blocked on the ninth and tenth of Muharram in addition to the army and Rangers being stationed in Punjab’s 13 critical districts during Muharram.
Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhang, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Sahiwal, Chakwal, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan are among the critical districts where the military will be stationed.
On the ninth and tenth of Muharram, mobile phone service will continue to be halted in certain areas.
For the deployment of 73 army and 80 Rangers companies, the home department has communicated with the federal government.
