Former KP chief minister Pervez Khattak’s membership in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was terminated by the party on Wednesday.

The PTI has taken action against Khattak for failing to respond to the show-cause notice. According to a notice from PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan, Khattak’s basic membership has been cancelled.

Previously, the PTI served Khattak with a show-cause notice for allegedly instigating members to abandon the party.

Khattak had been given seven days to provide a written explanation for his actions by Omar Ayub Khan. If Khattak’s response is deemed unacceptable, or if he fails to respond, the party will take necessary disciplinary measures in accordance with its rules.
