US Vice President Joe Biden left on a three-nation trip on Sunday, the highlight of which will be a NATO meeting in Lithuania aimed at displaying sympathy with Ukraine in its battle against Russia while not yet admitting Kyiv as a member of the alliance.
Biden’s first destination will be in London on Monday, when he will meet British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 10 Downing Street before travelling to Windsor Castle for a meeting with King Charles.
The discussions with the monarch, which are anticipated to involve climate measures, will provide Biden with a better understanding of the man who replaced his mother, Queen Elizabeth, who died last September.
