Alamgir Tareen, the brother of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen, committed himself in the province capital on Thursday under unclear circumstances.

Tareen, 63, committed suicide by shooting himself in the temple at his Gulberg flat. The terrible situation was confirmed by IPP leaders. A police squad rushed to the location and began an investigation.

Jahangir Tareen, who was presiding over the party gathering, immediately went for his brother’s residence after learning of the unfortunate event.

According to police sources, Alamgir left behind a handwritten suicide note in which he explained his ailment. His acquaintances, on the other hand, claimed to be unaware of any ailment.
