HARARE: Powerful Sri Lanka humiliated Ireland by 133 runs in the CWC Qualifier, destroying Ireland’s aspirations of making it to the Super Sixes and paving the way for Scotland and Oman to advance.

In the 15th match of the CWC Qualifier, Sri Lanka defeated Ireland by 133 runs thanks to a brilliant century by Dimuth Karunaratne and a five-for by Wanindu Hasaranga, the tournament’s favourite.

After being handed the chance to bat first, Karunaratne and Sadeera Samarawickrama spearheaded the Sri Lankan batting assault, amassing a massive score of 325 in 50 overs.
