According to governing organisation FIFA’s announcement on Friday, the expanded 32-team Club World Cup will be held in the United States in 2025.
The United States is the best host to launch this new, international event, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “The Club World Cup 2025 will be the pinnacle of elite professional men’s club football, and with the necessary infrastructure in place as well as a massive local interest,” said Infantino.
The tournament’s dates, host cities, and match schedule will all be decided at a later time, according to FIFA.
Along with Canada and Mexico, the US will also serve as the 2026 World Cup host nation.
