A nine-member bench led by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial was established by the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday to hear appeals against civilian prosecutions in military courts.
The judges who make up the bench are Justices Qazi Faez Isa, Sardar Tariq Masood, Ijazul Ahsan, Mansoor Ali Shah, Muneeb Akhtar, Yahya Afridi, Mazahar Naqvi, and Ayesha Malik.
Aitzaz Ahsan, a well-known attorney, Justice Jawad S. Khawaja, and others had already sought the supreme court in this matter through their attorneys.
