The latest in a series of cabinet reshuffles brought on by the upcoming presidential campaign of the ruling party, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador selected Marath Bolanos to lead the ministry.

Bolanos will take up the position of labour minister from Luisa Maria Alcalde, who Lopez Obrador moved to the recently empty position of interior minister, a very important position in the president’s cabinet.

Adan Augusto Lopez, a former interior minister, resigned last week to seek Lopez Obrador’s leftist Morena party’s presidential nomination.
