Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, a former prime minister, spoke on Tuesday about the political climate in the nation.
Following their discussion at Hasan Nawaz’s office, Mr. Abbasi gave a statement to the media in which he stated that “decisions have not been taken, but consultations have taken place.”
“My leader, Nawaz Sharif, and I are pals as well. I had a good meeting with Nawaz Sharif. Within the ranks of the PML-N, there is no divide, he insisted.
Mr. Abbasi said in reference to the polls, “The country’s elections should be held in October or November.”
