Tariq Malik, the chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), resigned on Tuesday.
During a meeting at the PM House, he presented Shehbaz Sharif with his resignation.
According to sources, the FIA added his name on the no-fly list, preventing him from flying internationally. The FIA and the NAB have both opened proceedings against him, according to the sources.
In July 2013, Malik was first named Nadra’s leader. He did, however, leave in January 2014. In June 2021, he was selected to head the authority once more.
