The Asian Cricket Council is set to adopt the hybrid format suggested by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the Asia Cup 2023, with Sri Lanka chosen as the neutral site.
The hybrid format proposed by the PCB, in which the first four matches would be played in Pakistan while the balance of the tournament will be conducted at a neutral location, was approved by all member boards of the ACC, according to the sources.
The competition will run from September 1 to September 17, and if India participates, the championship game will only be held at a neutral site.
In the next days, there will be a formal announcement made in this respect.
