Authorities issued a warning to stay away from coasts as the powerful storm “Biparjoy” made its way closer to Pakistan’s coastline.

Officials in Sindh and Balochistan have issued red alerts and banned swimming and fishing in coastal areas as the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (VSCS) “BIPARJOY” over the east central Arabian Sea retains its power and is barely 760 kilometres from Karchi and 750 kilometres from Thatta.

The administration of Karachi, a port city in the south, outlawed sailing, fishing, swimming, and bathing in the open water under Section 144.
