The anti-corruption group (ACE) apprehended Rai Mumtaz Hussain, the secretary of the Punjab Assembly (PA), on Saturday due to phoney recruitments.
An ACE spokesman said that Parvez Elahi, the former chief minister of Punjab, fabricated the Assembly’s records to make 12 unauthorised promotions to grade 17. He said, “Fake testing services were employed for the recruitment process.”
The statement claims that Mr. Mumtaz and Mr. Elahi planned to schedule appointments.
