KARACHI, (Web Desk) — Stormy winds and rain continue to wreak havoc in Sindh, with two people dead and a lady wounded in Tharparkar due to lightning.

Heavy rains have recently impacted various locations, including Karachi, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Nooriabad, Matiari, Ghotki, Mirpur Mathilo Deharki, Tharparkar, Nokot, and the adjacent districts.

According to sources, lightning killed a farmer called Balchand and critically wounded a lady in Manjhi Soomro hamlet of Nokot in Tharparkar.

In another incidence, Lal Ji Kolhi was killed when she was hit by lightning in Samruti.

People who were killed or injured as a result of lightning strikes were immediately transported to Nokot Hospital.

The severe rain also damaged infrastructure and forced the suspension of 240 feeds in the Hyderabad HESCO area.

The heavy rain has also hampered traffic movement on the Matiari motorway.

Citizens have been encouraged to take measures and avoid needless travel during the downpour. Residents in the impacted regions have been asked to take the required measures in order to prevent additional loss of life or property damage.
