LAHORE — The leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) “Haq Do Awam Ko” campaign are facing legal issues after Punjab police filed a formal complaint (FIR) against them for organizing a sit-in at Bhekhewala Mor in Lahore.

Nine party leaders, including Ziauddin Ansari, Khalid Butt, Liaqat Baloch, and Ahmad Salman Baloch, are named in the FIR, according to the police.

The allegation of sub-inspector Khalid Hussain has led to the registration of a case at Iqbal Town Police.

According to the FIR, the public was severely inconvenienced by the road closure, and the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami are accused of breaking Section 144.
