ISLAMABAD: The timetable for the Local Government (LG) elections in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) was released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday.
According to a notification, the Returning Officers (ROs) will release a public notice seeking nomination papers on August 15. Candidates may submit their nomination materials to the ROs between August 16 and August 20.
On August 21, the names of the nominated candidates would be made public, and from August 22 to August 26, the ROs would review the nomination documents.
From August 27 to August 29, the candidates had the opportunity to appeal the ROs’ judgments on the acceptance or rejection of their nomination papers.
