(Reuters) – Mitch Langerak, a former Australia goalkeeper, will return Melbourne Victory on an 18-month contract in January, the A-League club said on Saturday.
Langerak, who presently plays for Japanese side Nagoya Grampus, will return to the club where he began his professional career before joining Germany’s Borussia Dortmund in 2010.
“Mitch’s pedigree speaks for itself,” Victory coach Patrick Kisnorbo explained. “He has competed at the highest level in Europe and has been an extremely consistent competitor in Japan.
“His character, professionalism and attitude to football is an example for all footballers to follow and we look forward to his arrival in January.”
