Web desk (A News) – Nine Pakistanis were allegedly shot dead in a horrible event in the southeastern Iranian region of Sistan, bordering Balochistan.

Pakistan Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Tipu confirmed the news in a social media post, stating that the deaths occurred in Saravan.

The embassy will provide full assistance to the deceased families, he said, adding that a Pakistani ambassador was on his way to the incident site and the hospital where the injured were being treated.

“We called upon Iran to extend full cooperation in the matter,” he went on to say.

According to Iranian media, no extremist organization has yet claimed credit for the terrible attack. According to the report, three other persons were hurt in the event.

All of the Pakistanis who were killed worked as labourers in an Iranian workshop.

The announcement comes a day after Pakistani and Iranian diplomats returned to their respective embassies following days of tension between the neighboring nations over Tehran’s bombings.

On the social media site X [previously Twitter], Additional Foreign Secretary Rahim Hayat Qureshi expressed his happiness at the Iranian ambassador’s return to Pakistan.

“Excellent Iranian ambassador, we here in Pakistan are happy with your return to your second home. Our fraternal bonds will get stronger. I am grateful for the positive role performed by the two countries and their ambassadors.
