“We have seen unfair treatment for a long time,” Fawad Chaudhry stated. Normally, the court decides jurisdiction. See my warrant; I’m charged in four cases.”

“I was accused of exerting influence on the contractors as a minister,” he told reporters. However, the project belonged to the PSDP, which had been authorized. It was my responsibility to transmit the people’s demands to the administration.”

Politics is all about serving the people.

“It will not be good politics if I do not work for the people in my area,” he remarked. The project in issue has received approval from both the provincial and federal administrations.”

According to Fawad Chaudhry, the NAB does not have the authority to launch an investigation. “I am not Emperor Akbar who has immense power and influence,” he said.

Fawad’s request for case dismissal

The NAB prosecutor stated in court that the goal of physical remand was to bring out the facts as well as to establish the case. Fawad Chaudhry should work in his field, but only in accordance with the law.

He stated that if there is any embezzlement in any project, NAB will take notice.

“If there is a record of banking transactions, then present it before the court,” Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said. Allow me to speak; else, I shall petition the Supreme Court.”

He was opposed to Fawad’s physical detention.

The prosecutor stated that NAB has filed the financial transactions with the court. However, Faisal Chaudhry stated that they had not been granted access to Fawad’s financial activity.
