ISLAMABAD – Today (Monday), Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar will visit the damaged regions of Faisalabad’s Jaranwala tehsil.

Mohsin Naqvi, the temporary chief minister of Punjab, and federal ministers will accompany the premier.

According to sources, the federal minister for human rights, Khalil George, has been directed to start preparations for the visit.

The caretaker PM will also express solidarity with the Christian community and provide compensation for the victims’ losses.

An irate crowd set fire to churches, multiple residences, and cars a few days earlier in protest of an alleged blasphemy event.

More than 100 persons were detained after police filed complaints under various laws.
