ISLAMABAD, (Web Desk) – Azal, Azerbaijan’s national airline, will begin regular flights to Pakistan on September 20.
According to media sources, the flights to Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi would be conducted by the Azerbaijan Embassy.
According to the spokeswoman, the Azal service was established to develop relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, as well as to boost tourism, international transportation, and diplomatic contacts.
“The three cities are important historical and cultural centres of Pakistan, which is why it is very interesting to visit them,” the spokesperson said, adding that flights from Baku to Islamabad would be operated on Wednesday and Saturday, flights to Lahore on Monday and Friday, and flights to Karachi on Thursday and Sunday. The timetable is offered for the benefit of travellers.
