On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui and discussed concerns concerning Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
The prime minister formed a ministerial group to push for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s early release.
Shehbaz Sharif urged the Foreign Ministry to continue working with the US government and Pakistan’s Mission in Washington to ensure Dr. Aafia’s safety and early release. He also asked the Foreign Ministry to provide full assistance for Dr. Fowzia’s future visit to the United States.
