ZHOB – On Friday, a man was murdered and six people were wounded in a horrific suicide bombing near Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq’s cavalcade in Zhob.
According to authorities, Mr Haq was unharmed during the explosion. The JI leader was supposed to give a speech at Zhob.
According to the sources, Mr Haq arrived safely at the police queue, and the JI’s convoy was on its way to Zhob from Quetta.
Mr Haq landed in Quetta today and had to go to Zhob for his political gathering. In a video message, JI spokesman Faisal Sharif claimed that as he was approaching Zhob and people were embracing him, someone walked up and blew himself up.
According to sources close to the situation, the attacker’s corpse was brought to a public hospital, while six wounded persons were taken to a hospital. Two of the wounded are youngsters.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari denounced the blast near Mr Haq’s cavalcade in Zhob and wished him well.
Mr Bhutto-Zardari ordered that those wounded in the bombing be treated right away. “The explosion near Sirajul Haq’s convoy must be investigated immediately,” he said.
Those responsible for the explosion should be held accountable, he said.
