(Reuters) – According to local and federal officials, at least 14 people were killed as a tornado and powerful thunderstorms moved over Mississippi late Friday, leaving a path of destruction for more than 100 miles (160 km).
Mississippi’s Emergency Management Agency stated search and rescue activities were underway in Sharkey and Humphreys counties, according to the article.
