ISLAMABAD : – After receiving hundreds of applications from potential applicants throughout the nation, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Nasir Mehmood accepted the extension of the admission deadline for matriculation, FA, and I.Com programmes with late fee charges on Tuesday.

According to Director Syed Zia Al Hussain Naqvi, new candidates may apply until March 7, while continuing students can register through March 21.

He told students that prospectuses and admission application forms for all programmes are accessible online at the university website (, as well as at regional campuses and established prospectus selling sites around the nation.

Moreover, admissions for the second round of the spring 2023 semester will begin on March 1, he noted.

The director went on to say that the programmes offered in this phase included Post Graduate Diploma programmes in ten disciplines, FA/FSc and BA/BSc-based four-year BS programmes, Associate Degree in Arts (BA General), Associate Degree in Commerce (BCom), Associate Degree in Business Administration (Islamic Banking, Human Resource Management, and Marketing), BBA 1.5, 2.5, and 4-Year B Ed programmes, and certificate courses.
