PESHAWAR, — On Sunday, a security guard shot and killed a professor at Islamia College in Peshawar.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Bashir Khan, an English instructor at Islamia College. Bashir exchanged strong words with the college security, who then opened fire on the former in wrath, killing him. After then, the guard managed to depart.
The corpse of the dead has been sent to a hospital for autopsy, according to authorities. Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the case, and the hunt for the fugitive suspect has begun.
According to an Islamia College official, the killed instructor had a fight with the security officer who shot him today. He said that the victim was a Mardan inhabitant.
