ISLAMABAD – On Saturday, the Ministry of the Interior removed the protection of three former chief justices of the Supreme Court and a judge.
Former Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, former Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, and Justice (r) Azmat Saeed Sheikh no longer have Rangers protection.
After rendering decisions in Panama Leak and other key cases, the Rangers provided protection for the judges.
Remember that Saqib Nisar served as chief justice of the Supreme Court from December 31, 2016 to January 17, 2019, following which Justice Asif Saeed Khosa served as chief justice from January 18 to December 20, 2019, while Justice (ret.) Azmat Saeed Sheikh served as a Supreme Court judge.
