LAHORE – Farrukh Habib, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), voiced his frustration at Fawad Chaudhry’s imprisonment on Wednesday.

Mr. Habib told the media that “those accountable for failing to present Mr. Chaudhry before the court should be brought to justice.” Additionally, he urged the court to intervene. He also demanded that the Punjab IGP be punished.

Mr. Habib, criticising the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), questioned how long “false charges” would be brought against the opposition.

In his words: “Our conflict is nonviolent. We chose to disband the assembly in a democratic manner.”
