Arshad Sharif, the host of ARY News, has been granted protective bail until Monday by the Islamabad High Court.
The case against Arshad was heard at the Islamabad High Court at 11:30 p.m. on May 21, 2022, by Chief Justice Islamabad. The CJ IHC had instructed the Inspector General Police (IG) Islamabad and the Director General of Police (DIG) Islamabad to assist in the presentation of Arshad at the hearing.
A man named Tayyab Hussain had filed a complaint against Arshad for allegedly disparaging state institutions.
