Shehbaz Sharif, the President of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), has rejected Justice(r) Gulzar Ahmed’s nomination as interim Prime Minister by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He said this in response to President Arif Ali’s letter to the PML-N president, requesting consultation on the nomination of a caretaker Prime Minister.
Shehbaz believes that, given the current political climate, Imran Khan’s nomination of Gulzar is an attempt to influence the Supreme Court’s decision and to violate constitutional provisions.
