Despite the ban, the bloody sport of kite flying continues in Punjab, with a 40-year-old man being injured on Tuesday in Lahore after a kite thread wrapped around his face.
Bashir Ahmed, 40, was riding his motorcycle in Lahore’s Chungi Amar Sadhu neighbourhood when a wayward kite’s thread wrapped around his face, hurting him.
Rescue services arrived on the area after being contacted and offered medical treatment to the injured. Police in Kahna and Nishtar Colony, on the other hand, claim to be uninformed of the incident.
