ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, according to a tweet from State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib.
Farukh Habib, who shared a photo of the PML-Q delegation with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Twitter, stated that the issues with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid have been resolved, and that the party has pledged to back PM Imran Khan ahead of the no-confidence vote.

Following the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Prime Minister Imran Khan has chosen to appoint Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the next chief minister of Punjab. Prime Minister Imran Khan agreed earlier in the day to offer Pervaiz Elahi of the Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) the position of Punjab chief minister.

After a no-trust motion was filed against Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, a PTI team led by Federal Minister for Planning Development Asad Umar went out to PML-Q leader and Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi.
