The Registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has objected to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar’s petition challenging the Pakistan Election Commission’s notice of election (ECP).

According to the facts, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Asad Umar argued in their court case that new legislation empowers public officials to organise political campaigns.

According to Asad Umar, the electoral commission does not have the authority to interpret the law.

According to the registrar, the plea was filed without biometrics or an affidavit from Prime Minister Imran Khan.
