In response to a letter addressed by European Union envoys in Pakistan requesting that Islamabad denounce Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Prime Minister Imran Khan reminded the EU where they were when India violated international law in Kashmir.

“At the time, the head of the country backed them,” Prime Minister Imran stated. He pondered what Pakistan gained from helping the West besides sacrificing 80,000 of its countrymen, displacing 3.5 million people, and losing more than $100 billion.
“I asked the EU ambassadors, ‘Did you thank us?'” Did you claim you aided us in our fight? “Did you appreciate us?” the EU envoys questioned PM Imran.
The prime minister reminded the envoys that the West had scapegoated Islamabad rather than praising it.
“Secondly, did any of you terminate connections with India, cease trade, or criticise [New Delhi] when India defied international law in Kashmir and ended Kashmir’s status?” PM Imran said.
