Rehman Malik, the leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and a former interior minister, died in the early hours of Wednesday in Islamabad. He was 70 years old.

Rehman Malik, according to accounts, was admitted to a private facility in Islamabad on February 1 for treatment of post-Covid lungs difficulties, where he died on Wednesday.

According to sources, Rehman Malik had recently recovered from coronavirus when his health suddenly deteriorated on February 1 and he was admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). According to reports, Rehman Malik has suffered from severe lung problems as a result of the coronavirus.
