At least two persons were killed and 15 others were injured when a fire broke out at Bulleh Shah Paper Mills in Kasur on Wednesday. The bodies of those who died and those who were injured were taken to a hospital.
After more than 13 hours, the fire, which started at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, is still raging. The fire is being put out by 11 fire engines and 55 firefighters, according to authorities.
The fire departments and rescue squads from Lahore and Okara have also been dispatched to assist in the extinguishment of the blaze.
Dr. Rizwan, the Director General of Punjab Rescue, also went to the location to assess the readiness and rescue operation. He calculated that putting out the fire, which had spread to a large shed of the paper mills, would take two days.
