Villagers in Azad Kashmir’s Jhelum Valley killed a rare kind of leopard.
In the Jhelum valley’s Sarai hamlet, the leopard had found its way into the human population area. A woman and two other people were sent to a local hospital with minor injuries as a result of the animal’s attack.
The leopard was seized by villagers since the wildlife team did not arrive in time. The rare species was tethered and dragged around, eventually killing it.
According to Wildlife staff, the leopard had already been killed by the time the team arrived. The animal’s postmortem had been completed in Muzaffarabad. More investigation will be carried out as a result of the report.
