The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) agreed on Wednesday to speed up the vaccination process in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Over 1.2 million people were vaccinated in less than 24 hours, according to the NCOC. The total number of dosages provided across the country has reached 174,085,175 in total.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has recorded 29 deaths from new coronavirus in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases to 1,436,413. The total number of people killed in the United States has risen to 29,330.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) reported that 6,047 people tested positive with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Punjab continues to be the province with the highest number of deaths, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The outbreak has claimed the lives of 13,185 people in Punjab, 7,840 in Sindh, 6,009 in KP, 982 in Islamabad, 758 in Azad Kashmir, 368 in Balochistan, and 188 in the United Kingdom.
Also verified were 544,722 coronavirus cases in Sindh, 482,316 in Punjab, 196,328 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 129,004 in Islamabad, 38,805 in Azad Kashmir, 34,501 in Balochistan, and 10,737 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has tested for coronavirus 25,134,775 times thus far, including 61,190 in the previous 24 hours. In the country, 1,304,980 individuals have recovered, while 1,559 remain in serious condition.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was found to be 9.88%.
So far, 104,228,089 people have gotten their first dosage of coronavirus vaccination, with 223,230 of those receiving it in the previous 24 hours. In the previous 24 hours, 322,467 residents received their second shot, bringing the total number of citizens fully vaccinated to 80,748,105.
The overall number of dosages provided has risen to 174,085,175 in the last 24 hours, with 605,450 in the previous 24 hours.
