ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (APP) – Wada Mitsuhiro, the Japanese ambassador to Pakistan, met with Shaukat Tarin, the Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue, to discuss bilateral economic cooperation.

The Finance Minister, in extending a warm welcome to Wada Mitsuhiro, noted that Pakistan and Japan have had cordial and amicable ties for many years and that this connection will continue to grow stronger with each passing day.

The Finance Minister praised the Japanese government’s assistance for Pakistan’s infrastructure and institutional development. He went on to say that Japan is one of Pakistan’s most important development partners.

The Finance Minister also emphasised the government’s objectives for economic development and social upliftment.

Ambassador Wada Mitsuhiro of Japan stated that Japan appreciates its bilateral relations with Pakistan. He emphasised the operations of Japanese firms in Pakistan and expressed optimism that business and economic connections between the two nations would expand further.

Both examined the whole range of business and investment partnerships and highlighted areas where economic cooperation might be strengthened and expanded. He praised the Finance Minister for implementing significant economic changes.

The Finance Minister expressed gratitude for Wada Mitsuhiro’s thoughts and expressed the hope that bilateral cooperation between the two nations will expand even further during his tenure.
