(AFP) England defeated the West Indies by 34 runs in the fourth Twenty20 international in Bridgetown, setting up a series decider on Sunday. Stand-in skipper Moeen Ali shined with bat and ball.
Moeen Ali, who took over for the injured Eoin Morgan, hit seven sixes, including four in a row off Jason Holder, during a 63-ball 63 as England reached a total of 193 for six on Saturday.
The off-spinner then took two for 28 runs in the West Indies’ 159-run victory, bringing England’s five-match series to a 2-2 tie ahead of the sides’ return to the Kensington Oval.
Earlier in the series, England’s bowling had cost them dearly in the late stages of games.
But, with the West Indies requiring 61 off the final four overs, Chris Jordan and Reece Topley, who had been returned following England’s defeat on Wednesday, kept their nerve.
