ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continues to report a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases, with 5,196 new pandemic infections recorded in the last 24 hours, down from 6,357 the day before.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), a total of 51,063 samples were tested, with 5,196 proving positive at a positivity rate of 10.17 percent, compared to 12.81 percent yesterday.

With the addition of new cases, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 1,386,348.
