Authorities in the federal capital have closed 62 institutions and 15 hotels for violating coronavirus-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
As coronavirus infections in the country continue to grow owing to the omicron form, officials have initiated a crackdown on violators of government-issued SOPs.
Several hotels were closed during the operation, and eight individuals were detained.
In Pakistan, on the other hand, 8 people have died in the previous 24 hours as a result of a new coronavirus, and the number of positive cases has risen to 1,374,800. On Monday, the total number of fatalities in the United States had risen to 29,105.
According to the most recent National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) data, 7,195 people tested positive with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
In terms of fatalities, Punjab is the worst-affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
So far, 13,108 people have died in Punjab, 7,741 in Sindh, 5,975 in KP, 976 in Islamabad, 751 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 187 in GB as a result of the outbreak.
Furthermore, 526,899 coronavirus cases in Sindh, 464,431 in Punjab, 185,340 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 118,292 in Islamabad, and 35,400 in Azad Kashmir have been verified. Balochistan has 33,941 people while Gilgit-Baltistan has 10,497.
Pakistan has done 24,590,353 coronavirus tests to date, with 57,401 in the previous 24 hours. In the country, 1,269,078 individuals have recovered, while 1,113 are in serious condition.
The positive ratio for COVID-19 was 12.53 percent.
