According to Dunya News, dense fog covered portions of Punjab, including Lahore, on Sunday and Monday night, severely affecting vehicle traffic and paralysing ordinary life.
Due to low visibility, the Motorway M2 section from Thokar Niaz Baig to Kot Momin, the Motorway M3 from Faizpur to Jaranwala, the Motorway M4 from Abdul Hakim to Khanewal Interchange, the Motorway M5 from Sher Shah to Zahir Pir, and the Motorway M11 from Mahmood Botti to Sambrial have all been closed to all traffic.
The highway police have encouraged drivers to turn on their fog lights when travelling at a very slow pace since visibility has been reduced to a very low level owing to dense fog.
The highway police have also asked people to stay at home and avoid needless travel since visibility was extremely low in several areas owing to severe fog.
