ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Pakistan denounced the extrajudicial killings of four more Kashmiris by Indian occupation troops in Srinagar and Kupwara in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (IIOJK).
“Indian occupying forces killed the youth during staged cordon and search operations,” a foreign office official said in a statement.
In the year 2021, Indian occupation forces killed at least 210 Kashmiris in phoney encounters or so-called ‘cordon and search operations.'”
He claimed that the military crackdown and increased extrajudicial executions in bogus staged operations in IIOJK represent the “Hindutva”-inspired hardline BJP-RSS coalition’s anti-Muslim objectives in India.
He said India’s use of state terrorism as a policy tool to suppress the just Kashmiri struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination was yet another abhorrent manifestation of the country’s use of state terrorism as a policy tool to suppress the just Kashmiri struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.
Pakistan has appealed to the world community to take notice of India’s unrelenting tyranny in IIOJK, he said.
“India’s continuous, systematic, and pervasive human rights crimes in IIOJK require an inquiry by a UN Commission of Inquiry (COI), as recommended by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in its 2018 and 2019 Kashmir Reports.”
“Pakistan also asks the international community to play its part in resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in a just and peaceful manner, in compliance with relevant UNSC resolutions and the Kashmiri people’s wishes for long-term peace and stability in the region,” he added.
