KARACHI: On Saturday, at least 16 people were murdered and more than a dozen more were injured in a bomb at Paracha Chowk in the city’s Shershah neighbourhood.
PTI MNA Alamgir Khan’s father was among those killed in the incident, according to PTI-Karachi President MPA Khurram Sher Zaman, while worries of further deaths persist as the search and rescue effort continues.
Earlier, Dr. Sabir Memon, the chairman of the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Accident, Emergency, and Trauma Centre, acknowledged that the hospital had received 14 dead.
Meanwhile, DIG South Sharjeel Kharal stated that ten injured individuals have been released after receiving proper medical care, while six remain under observation, including two on a ventilator.
